ABOUT
US
|
The museum was opened in 1996 and covers about 600 m2 on three floors. The collection is arranged thematically in various rooms with about 90 showcases, elegantly constructed of glass and aluminium. A special feature are the four "miniature cabinets", small rooms where only the small and smallest items are on exhibit at eye level.
Angela Prader has great talent in exhibiting and in the use of lighting effects. She manages to create an extraordinary and individual atmosphere in every single showcase.
The museum presents each year a different Special Exhibition to a specific topic (Special Exhibition)
You may relax in the Museum Coffee where you can meet and discuss with other visitors. Your may also visit the Museum Shop where you can find very individual gifts, also tin toys, Meccano boxes or hard to find souvenirs.(Museum Shop/Museum Coffee)
Guided tours are the best way to get first hand infromation about the whole exhibition.
The size of the museum permits the hosting of small and large groups for social or cultural events.(Guided Tours/Special Events)
